It is a comprehensive victory for Pakistan. South Africa never really got going. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals and none of the batsmen really got in. They struggled to get the spinners away. All the three spinners created all sorts of problems. Some of the batsmen got starts but no one went on to get a big one. The Pakistan bowling once again came to the rescue after their poor batting. Tanvir got the early wicket and the spinners came in and took control of the game. They were economical and took 6 wickets between them.

Previously, Pakistan have won the toss and chose to bat. It has been a good bowling performance by South Africa. They were asked to bowl and they did well to contain Pakistan to 209 within 50 overs. All the bowlers chipped in and McLaren was the pick as he took 4 wickets. The Pakistan batsmen got starts but none apart from Shehzad could make it count. Shehzad was once again very good as he got to his second fifty in as many matches but could not convert it into a big score.

Now the series is level at 1-1. Both the teams have good strong bowling units and the batting has been a main concern. South Africa must find a way to tackle the spin trio. They have not reached 200 in both the matches. That will be a problem that they would have to assess in the following days. Pakistan, on the other hand have not got good starts with Shehzad the only one who has looked comfortable against the South African bowlers. They need to work hard to score more runs and give something for their bowlers to defend.
