2nd Test: WI 182, IND 157/2 - Sachin 38* Day 1 Reports

Sachin Tendulkar was unbeaten on 38 as India reached 157/2 at stumps after Ojha's fifer shot West Indies out for 182 before tea on Day 1 of the second Test in Mumbai. India trail by 25 runs. Click here for the Full Scorecard Update

Previously India have won the toss and chose to field. The crowd were disappointed when Dhoni decided to field first after winning the toss, they will not be complaining now though. On a pitch that had spin, pace and bounce, West Indies were done in by some excellent bowling and some poor selection of strokes. Many players got starts but none could get past Powell's 48. He was a shade unlucky to be given out, Samuels never looked at ease during his short stint, Chanderpaul was done in by a beauty and Sammy decided that he would rather watch Sachin bat in his final Test rather than batting himself. The tail collapsed against the spinners and that has left West Indies in a poor position.

Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan got India off to a flying start. They were going well over 5 runs per over throughout their 77-run opening stand before the latter decided to throw it away. Shane Shillingford removed Vijay in the same over much to the delight of the crowd as they wanted to see Sachin Tendulkar bat today and the Master didn't disappoint them.
