Earlier Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel have won the toss and chose to field. Guptill and Simmons Added 74 for the Opening Wicket. Guyana have done well here to go past 150. At one stage it looked like they will not go past 130. But Franklin and Sarwan played aggressively in the end to propel the side to a good total. Guyana Amazon Warriors: 155/5 (20.0 Ovs).

Red Steel were never in the chase, losing wickets at regular intervals. Young Nicolas Pooran was the only one who played an innings of substance albeit that controversial decision of not no-balling Narine when Dwayne Bravo was dismissed could come into case. Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel: 136/9 (20.0 Ovs).

The home side did brilliantly with the ball, with Permaul impressing the most with 3 scalps. Santokie too, did well, especially at the death while Narine was hard to get by.

A comprehensive win for the home side. They were not expected to come good against a superior Trinidad and Tobago, but Sarwan's guns have done it. The talking point for Trinidad would be their unexpected collapse given the strong batting line-up they possess.

The new ball bowlers for the visitors were not great, allowing Simmons and Guptill to get off to a racing start. They steadied things in the middle but conceded runs at a hemorrhaging rate towards the death. Still, 156 could have been chased down.

James Franklin gets an award for hitting the longest six of the match. Young 17-year old Nicolas Pooran gets a prize for being the fastest scorer of the match.

Krishmar Santokie has been named the Man Of The Match. Santokie was excellent with his lines and lengths being the most economical bowler and picking up 2 crucial wickets.

Two days, two home wins. Guyana have been the surprise scorers in the second. They have a decent mix but Trinidad and Tobago were simply disappointing. Guyana next meet Jamaica Tallawahs led by the big man Chris Gayle at this same venue on August 2, 2013 at 8 pm local. TT take on Barbados in their next game at Bridgetown on August 3, 2013 at 8 pm local.
