1st ODI: South Africa beat Pakistan by 1 Run in the Low Scoring Game at Sharjah

South Africa won by 1 run against Pakistan in the 1st ODI Cricket Match Played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 30th October 2013. Pakistan suffered a horrible collapse, losing their last 6 wickets for 17 runs to lose the first ODI by 1 run.

A dramatic end to this game and you can expect only Pakistan to lose any match from this position. Pakistan were at a comfortable position at one stage at 135/3, but they lost 7 wickets for just 42 runs from there on. To be specific, after the fall of Umar Amin they lost last 6 wickets for 17 runs. Tahir, who was playing an ODI for South Africa after 2 years, came back well in his last spell to pick up 3 wickets. Morkel was excellent and he held his nerve to pick up the last wicket and help the Proteas snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat. Pakistan were the real chokers today and they have only themselves to blame for this defeat. The partnership between Parnell and Tsotsobe towards the end proved to be the real difference.

Earlier South Africa have won the toss and chose to bat. Pakistan will be happy with their performance after losing the toss. Their bowlers hit the right areas initially and gave nothing away. The seamers accounted for two early wickets and then the introduction of Saeed Ajmal saw Pakistan taking full control of the innings. He picked up 3 wickets in quick succession to deny the visitors. Shahid Afridi supported him very well at the other end but the hosts couldn't prevent a gritty fifty from Wayne Parnell who put on a record 9th wicket stand (52 runs) in ODIs at Sharjah with Lonwabo Tsotsobe. He has given his bowlers something to work with even though the target is not a big one.

South Africa 183 (Parnell 56, Ajmal 4-30, Afridi 3-37)
Pakistan 182 (Shehzad 58, Tahir 3-45, Parnell 3-41)

6th ODI: Dhawan, Kohli hit tons as India chase down 350

India won by 6 wickets with 3 balls remaining against Australia in the 6th ODI Cricket Match played at Nagpur on 30th October 2013. Kohli slammed his 17th ODI ton while Dhawan cracked his fourth as India chased down chased down Australia's 350 to win by six wickets. The series is now level 2-2 with one game to go. Click here for the Full Scorecard.

Excellent run chase and once again the top three batsmen set it up for the Indians. Dhawan started well, he was once again lucky tonight, dropped twice on 19 and 56, as he scored his 4th ODI hundred. He was well supported by Rohit Sharma as the pair added 178 runs for the 1st wicket. Rohit missed out on his ton, dismissed by a rank half-tracker from Finch. The stage was set for Virat Kohli. He continued with the form he showed in Rajasthan as the target came down with every over, Dhawan was dismissed shortly after his hundred and India suffered a minor hiccup when the two out of form batsmen, Yuvraj Singh and Raina were dismissed in a Johnson over.

Earlier India have won the toss and chose to field. Another pitch where the bowlers were like lambs ready for slaughter, at least at the end of the Australian innings. India brought in three spinners, and the third one went for 78 without taking a wicket. Australia started slowly and lost both their openers with just 45 runs on the board. With the bowlers asserting themselves, it finally looked like a pitch where they would have a say in the things. Not so for long, Watson was reprieved after he was caught off a no-ball on 25, he then opened up and along with George Bailey took each and every bowler to the cleaners. He scored his 9th ODI ton, Bailey was even more impressive as he top-scored with a career best 156.

Kohli is the Man of the Match for his 66-ball 115 which is also the third fastest ton by an Indian.

2nd ODI: India Chase down 359 in 43.3 overs against Australia

Australia tour of India 2013: India beat Australia by chasing 359 runs in 43.3 overs in the 2nd ODI Cricket match played at Jaipur on 43.3 Overs. Kohli (100 n.o) blasted the fastest ODI hundred by an Indian, Rohit (141 n.o,.) got to his highest ODI score, Dhawan cracked 95 as India chased down 359 against Australia with nine wickets to spare. Click here for the full scorecard update.

India have pulled off an amazing victory over Australia. This is the second highest ever run chase in the history of ODI cricket, both chases coming against Australia.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan started off the blocks in fine fashion. 69 runs came from the first ten overs as the platform was set-up. Dhawan was the aggressor, Rohit was the calming influence. Haddin dropped Dhawan on 18, something that Australia would go on to repent as the innings progressed. Runs came in bushels, fours came along almost in every over. Dhawan was dismissed 5 runs short of his ton, ending a 172-run 1st wicket stand.

If Australia were relieved at his exit, more shock was to come in the form of Virat Kohli. The young sensation came as a man possessed, if the opening partnership included sublime fours, sixes became the order of the day with Kohli. The bowlers were simply powerless to stop the combined onslaught. 58 runs came in the batting PP and Rohit finally lived up to his promise. This was his 3rd hundred, 1st against Australia, 1st at home as well. Kohli was not to be left behind, he was to go on to break Sehwag's record for the fastest ton by an Indian batsman as India completed a stunning chase. The series is level at 1-1 with the next match scheduled to be held at Punjab.

Yuvraj Singh directs India to a 6-wicket win over Australia in one-off T20I

Brillaint Yuvraj Singh made a amazing comeback to International circuit with an unbeaten 77 to help India trample Australia by six wickets at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Click here for the Full Scorecard Update

This was his comeback agree and he is back with a bang. India were set a demanding target and they lost Rohit early. Raina and Dhawan gave them a good start in the power-play until both were brushed aside.

Yuvraj Singh cracked a blazing 25-ball half-century to put Australia on back-foot.

Yuvraj begun dealing in fours and sixes after losing Virat Kohli. India found themselves in location of hassle as they lost wickets their four wickets at the tally 100 in 11.1 overs.

Australian pacer Nathan Coulter-Nile gave India second blow by eliminating Suresh Raina. Raina tried to impel India’s chase Rohit Sharma’s dismissal as he supplemented 38-run for the second wicket Shikhar Dhawan.

Xavier Doherty also joined the party brushing aside Dhawan to depart stuttering at 80/3 in 8.3 overs. Dhawan’s 19-ball 32 run bang was studded with five boundaries.

India suffered an early assault when Australian pacer Clint McKay hit to brush aside Rohit Sharma cheaply.

Earlier, Aaron Finch bludgeoned his way to a 52-ball 89 as Australia dispatched a demanding 201 for seven.

Australian batsmen made merry on a flat wicket as they discharged in unison but intermittent wickets kept India in hunt. Finch plundered 15 boundaries, including a six, and anchored the Australian innings after being invited to bat.

Had it not been some exceptional bowling by pace duo of Vinay Kumar (3-26) and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar (3-25), who distributed six wickets between them, India would have been in more deep trouble.

Left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja, playing his first T20 at home, played a vital part in the hosts’ recovery as he provided away just 23 sprints in his four overs and furthermore got a wicket.

An off-colour R Ashwin and Ishant Sharma bled 93 sprints in six overs between them and that cost India dearly. However, the wicket had nothing for the bowlers even as they bowled poorly.

Finch provided a blazing start to his side with debutant Nic Maddinson as Australia rushed to 50 in just 4.1 overs. Maddinson showed no signals of nerves as he penalized the bowlers to make a 16-ball 34.

The 21-year old left-hander forged a 56-run unfastening stand with Finch before being castled by seamer Bhuvneshwar.

Vinay Kumar picked up two vital wickets of all-rounder Shane Watson (6) and Aussie skipper George Bailey (0) to convey some relief for the hosts.

The tourists came back powerfully as Glenn Maxwell blazed through the opposition strike and made 27 off just 13 globes.

The 24-year old played a blinder as he struck four sixes in his fluent bang, encompassing three in the identical over against Ravichandran Ashwin.

Finch was dismissed in the 17th over when Vinay held on to a mighty strike in his follow through. James Faulkner hit a last-ball six to guide his group to a go past the 200-run assess number.

Previous, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and determined to field.
